I think I figured out a strategy. Instead of one New Year's resolution, how about twelve. Don't panic, I am on to something here. Together, we can be intentional about twelve promises this year (or goals, if you are frightened by breaking promises). One for each month. When we set manageable promises or goals, they are more likely to happen. The possibilities are endless. Consider the following questions to assist with your decision-making:
.) What places would you like to explore this year? Go!
.) What are some websites, apps, blogs, or other digital technologies that you would like to know more about? Learn it!
.) Who are some relatives or friends that you could spend a little more time with? Spend it!
.) What is that one thing that's got you trapped? Fix it!
.) What wonderful thing can you do for someone not so wonderful? Do it!
.) What wonderful thing can you do for someone who is absolutely wonderful? Do it!
.) Who could use a hug? Hug them!
.) Who could use a smile? Smile! :)
.) Who could use a thank you? Thank them!
.) What commitments can you make this year that you did not last year? Make them!
.) What is one positive change that you can make about yourself? Change it!
Drum roll for the last one please...
.) What is one thing you can do to spoil yourself because you deserve it? Spoil away!
That wasn't so hard was it? We should invest in New Year's resolutions that are feasible, simple, creative, and fun. There is much to learn, master, and cultivate in 2016, so let's get busy...
